The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, launched on February 24, 2019, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is a lifeline for small and marginal farmers across India. It’s a Central Sector Scheme, fully funded by the Government of India, designed to give farmers a financial boost of ₹6,000 per year. This amount is paid in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months, directly transferred to farmers’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
